In Batman: Arkham City, the Arkham games went open world for the first time. It’s an easy decision for the top slot in our list of the best Batman games! Batman Arkham City But they are varied and feature showdowns with some of Batman’s most renowned villains in a way that feels appropriate to the game’s plot. Not by chance, Batman: Arkham Asylum features the creative and voice talent of the legendary 90s TV program. Better than anything else up to that point, except probably Batman: The Animated Series. It offered us a fantastic picture of the true comic book-style Batman – in my opinion. From environment scanning for clues to the plethora of progressively opening gadgetry at your disposal and the cleverly reinvented super villains to take on within the walls (and grounds) of the titular Asylum. The great mechanics and ambiance nailed the sense of Batman. This action adventure title, with one of the best and most imitated fighting systems to have arisen in the last few decades, made you feel like Batman right from the start. It’s always wonderful to be proven wrong. Prior to Arkham Asylum, Rocksteady Studios had only released one full game, the underrated but nonetheless unspectacular PS2 FPS Urban Chaos: Riot Response, therefore there were no high expectations placed on Batman’s shoulders.
